Yesterday saw the release of my poem collection dedicated to Samurai Champloo, entitled Infinite. A project that took place just over a year, Infinite inspired me to try new and different ways of marketing. If you ask anyone, marketing is my least favorite of the independent author circuit, mainly because it does involve engagement to be at its most efficient. A lot of times my ideas are larger and out of my grasp to execute and I don’t like the idea of using AI to create art. Couple that with my uneasiness to mass text/email people about my work and it’s always an uphill battle.

I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older or if I just felt this strongly about Infinite but I really took a more aimed approach at marketing. Stepping out of my comfort zone allowed me to really enjoy this rollout more than probably any other.
And I think that led to a fantastic first day that led to some incredibly high marks:

None of this is possible without the tremendous support I have received. It is my hope that as you read this collection (and maybe even head over to Crunchyroll and check Samurai Champloo at the same time), you share any of your favorite pieces or verses. I think there are moments in the book that go beyond the anime and can be felt in the world we live in today.
Again, thank you EVERYONE who has bought a copy, shared a post, had an encouraging word…the list goes on. They keep the journey fun and exciting and if Samurai Champloo has taught me anything, it’s that the destination pales in comparison to the to journey🌻
