Infinite: Poetry meets Samurai Champloo

(I really need to post here more often).

As you may remember, my last release was a poetry collection entitled, Easy Come, Easy Go: a poetic companion to Cowboy Bebop. A passion project combining my love for poetry and the anime, the collection served as not only a standalone piece of work but also an accessory to Cowboy Bebop. It was one of my most successful releases, reaching the top 25 in new releases and #1 new release in poetry about grief. I had such a fun time creating ECEG that I knew that I wanted to do another collection at some point but I wasn’t sure of what direction to take. Until about midway through 2025.

Samurai Champloo has regularly been in my top 3 anime for a majority of my life and happened to also he created by the same man, Shinichirō Watanabe. It followed a similar format and touched on very similar subject matter as Cowboy Bebop except with a different twist. Instead of the slickness and funk of jazz and blues, Champloo told it’s story parallel to the bombastic and soulful lo-fi hip hop soundtrack.  It only made sense to give this anime, one that has gained traction over the last year as being considered underrated, the same treatment.

After nearly a year of writing (we can discuss the process at another time), we are on the doorstep of finally releasing Infinite and I cannot wait for everyone to be able to get their hands on it. Pre-orders for digital will be available once it is approved and I will share with you all once I get the ok.

Whether you pre-order a digital copy or prefer a paperback version, Infinite: a poetic companion to Samurai Champloo will be releasing on June 19th, 2026! I plan on having an option for signed copies once I can set up a P.O. Box so if you prefer that, be sure to continue to check here for those updates.

I know I’m not always the most timely writer but I appreciate everyone who continues to support my writing, even if anime or poetry isn’t your thing. It means a lot that you stick with me through the quiet times and hopefully I can make the waiting period shorter next time (haha).
